5 vain girl pre-chemo hacks

Not medical advice, just the vain girl tips.
None of these are ads and I wasn't paid for any of them. They're just the things I used and genuinely liked.

1. Tattoo your eyebrows and eyeliner
This made the biggest difference for me. Waking up and still having definition to my brows and eyes without applying any make up. Genuinely so happy I did this.
Where I got mine: Alina Dragomir SPMU on Instagram

2. Gradual tan daily facial moisturiser
People kept saying "ooh you've got a glow, nice colour," instead of the ashy, grey, sick look. So easy to just slap on your face every day. Not full-on fake tan, just enough.
The one I used: Jergens Natural Glow Healthy Complexion Daily Facial Moisturiser

3. Colour analysis for your headscarves
Wearing colours that match your tone makes you glow. Without my hair, it was so good knowing which headscarf colours lifted me instead of drowning me out even more.
How to find your colours for free: upload a clear, natural-light portrait of yourself to ChatGPT and paste this prompt:
"Create a personal color analysis graphic using this portrait. Show side-by-side clothing color comparisons to highlight which colors suit the subject best. Make it visual-first, with short labels only and no paragraphs. Also include best neutrals, best metallics, what to avoid. Include my season's full colour palette, all hues."

4. Good reusable lashes
For the days you've got energy, want to go out and feel pretty. Invest in top-quality, easy-to-use reusable lashes. Worth every penny on a good day.
The ones I used: Wing It Cosmetics starter kits

5. High-neck, short-sleeve pyjamas
Skip the old bright Disney set. Post-surgery you'll want to lounge braless and comfy, so go for plain high-neck pjs. Answering the door or taking the bins out, you still feel kind of dressed.
The set I'd go for: Neutral pyjama set from Next
Remember: you are strong, you are brave, you'll be you again soon.
These are the little things that helped me feel like myself on certain days. I also made something to wear on those days, a reminder that this is temporary and the strongest version of you is on the other side.
